Weapon Mastery System
The Weapon Mastery System is an extension of the game's Basic Stats. It allows you to level up and increase the proficiency of one of the 5 available masteries based on the weapon you have equipped.
Whenever you defeat a monster, you will earn experience points based on the level of the monster. As you accumulate a certain amount of experience, your Mastery Level will increase, granting you +1 Weapon Mastery Point. These points can be allocated to raise any of the 6 mastery stats available to enhance your character's attributes.
Each mastery in the game has its own set of stats, level, and experience. When you equip a weapon, the mastery type is automatically changed to match that weapon. If the mastery of the newly equipped weapon is different from your current mastery, your stats will be adjusted accordingly to reflect the new mastery.
Mastery Types
There are 5 weapon masteries, each encompassing a number of weapon types:
- Onslaught
- 2H Sword - 1H Axe - 2H Axe - Mace - Knuckle
- Swiftness
- Dagger - Fuuma Shuriken - Katar - Dual Wielding
- Safeguard
- Unnarmed - 1H Sword - 1HSpear - 2HSpear
- Ranged
- Bow - Instrument - Whip - Revolver - Rifle - Gatling Gun - Shotgun - Grenade Launcher
- Mystical
- Book - 1H Staff - 2HStaff
Mastery Stats
There are a total of 6 mastery stats, which can be viewed in the Status Window (ALT+A). To increase any of these stats, you will need to spend 1 Mastery Point. Each stat can be raised up to a maximum of 20, and every 5 points, you will unlock a Selectable Perk.
