Introduction to Ragnarok Online
Ragnarok Online (RO) is an MMORPG based on Lee Myung-jin's "Ragnarok" Manhwa. It is set in a fictional universe of Midgard, where human adventurers travel the world, fighting monsters, and fighting each other in inter-guild wars called the War of Emperium (WoE). Many themes within the game are based on Norse mythology.
This game allows players to choose from 18 different branches of classes, each with unique skills and abilities, as well as different roles in Player vs. Monster (PvM) and Player vs. Player (PvP) environments. Players can explore a vast world with more than 20 cities, more than 50 dungeons, with numerous field maps in between, to encounter various monsters, participate in quests given by NPCs, and experience the Midgard lore.

When you submit the form, you will be able to play by logging in through the game client.
Character Creation
When you start the client, you must enter your registered account ID and password. Log in and select Tales of Idun from the list of servers.
Click on the plus sign (+) to create a new character. Then you can select one of the two genres.
You can name your character and modify their hairstyle and hair color. The gender of the character is mainly cosmetic and does not offer differences in the game, except in the case of Bard and Dancer. Hairstyle and hair color can be changed in-game at any time by talking to the NPC Stylist.
User Interface
Each character you play in Ragnarok Online has various aspects that you can modify, for ways to level up, missions or items. These include your character's Classes, stats, abilities, and equipment.
These aspects define how you play your character and how your character can act within the game world.
Job Classes
In Ragnarok Online, there are a total of 18 Class branches and a total of 63 different Classes. Each Class differs from the others by having different skill sets, being able to use different types of weapons and equipment, and having different roles when working in a group.
Moving from one class to a higher class requires quests, which differ from class to class.
Most of these class change quests involve tests of skill or knowledge.
Novice
All new characters that are created start out as novices. They are the most basic class and have no special abilities.
First Classes
When a Novice reaches Job level 10, they will be able to become their first class. The original early works consist of Swordsman, Acolyte, Mage, Archer, Thief, and Merchant.
- The Swordsman they are strong warriors who serve the kingdom of Rune Midgard. Both are strong and resilient, capable of dealing large amounts of damage while withstanding damage dealt by enemies.
- The Acolytes they are healers, capable of assisting teammates by restoring their HP and providing buffs to their attack power, agility, or defense. They are also exorcists, strong against undead enemies.
- The Magicians they are intellects that use the elements of nature to their advantage. Despite needing time to cast their spells, they can deal massive amounts of damage using elemental advantage against their enemies.
- The Archers They are masters of long range combat, using bows and arrows to attack quickly from a distance. Using elemental arrows, they can defeat enemies while staying out of the enemies' range.
- The Thiefs they are stealthy combatants, able to hide and use poison to kill their enemies. They specialize in quick, successive strikes and dodging enemy attacks, as well as literally stealing items from their enemies.
- The Merchants They are zeny specialists. They can buy discounted items and overcharge NPCs. Their carts allow them to carry many more items compared to other classes, and they can open vending shops to sell items they have collected on their adventure.
Upon reaching job level 40, a first job character can become one of the second job classes. However, it is recommended to get the maximum job level of 50 before changing jobs.
More information on job levels is explained in the leveling and experience section below.

By making a special call to your guardian angel, you can obtain great blessings that allow you to be an invaluable ally.
